England all-rounder Liam Livingstone didn't quite shine during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) successful run in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). It looks like he’s preparing to part ways with the Rajat Patidar-led team and will be available for the IPL 2026 mini-auction, which is set to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. As reported by Cricbuzz, veteran opener Mayank Agarwal, along with fast bowlers Blessing Muzarabani and Rasikh Dar, are also expected to be released by RCB alongside Livingstone. Livingstone was one of RCB's pricier acquisitions in IPL 2025, having been bought at the mega-auction for INR 8.75 crore. Unfortunately, he managed to score just 112 runs over 10 matches, averaging a mere 16. With the ball, he took only two wickets at an average of 38. The Karnataka captain made 95 runs in four matches, averaging 31.67 with a strike rate of 148.44, including a vital 24 runs off 18 balls in the final against the Punjab Kings. On the flip side, Muzarabani came on board as a temporary replacement for Lungi Ngidi. The Zimbabwean pacer was signed for INR 75 lakh to strengthen RCB's bowling lineup for the IPL 2025 playoffs. He was available for selection from the last league match but unfortunately didn’t make his IPL debut. Rasikh Salam was acquired by RCB for INR 6 crore during the mega-auction, expected to play a significant role after a standout season with Delhi Capitals in 2024, where he took nine wickets in eight games. However, he also didn’t get a chance to play. The deadline for retention is set for Saturday, November 15, at 3 PM IST, by which all teams need to submit their lists of retained and released players.
