Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) went into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction with the second-highest auction purse of INR 83 crore. Earlier before the auction, they had retained only 3 players: Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal. Everyone was surprised after seeing the retained list of players by RCB because the name of Mohammed Siraj was missing. Teams were going crazy for Mohammed Siraj during the mega auction, the bidding amount even crossed the INR 10 crore mark and Gujarat Titans acquired the services of this Indian pacer for the upcoming edition. Speaking on the same, Parthiv Patel, the batting coach of Gujarat Titans, revealed some key insights from the auction day. He mentioned that they were surprised to see RCB not using their RTM on their main bowlers but he also added that Gujarat is quite happy to get Siraj in the team. Parthiv Patel on Cricbuzz, said: "If you look at Gujarat Titans' thinking, we always look for experienced players and Mohammed Siraj gets along really well with all of us. We were actually thinking that RCB might use RTM but they didn't.
