Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by eight wickets on Wednesday. During the match, Virat Kohli suffered a finger injury while fielding near the boundary. During the fifth ball of Krunal Pandya’s over, Sai Sudharsan attempted a sweep shot, sending the ball towards deep midwicket. Kohli, positioned in the deep, misjudged the ball and ended up hurting his finger. Visibly in pain, he immediately left the field for medical attention, raising concerns among fans. After the match, RCB head coach Andy Flower provided an update on Kohli’s condition. "Virat Kohli looks fine, he is okay," Flower said. With RCB’s next game scheduled for April 7 against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Kohli will have four days to recover before returning to action. His impressive figures of 3/19 earned him the Player of the Match award. Speaking about Siraj’s performance, Andy Flower praised the pacer’s performance on Wednesday. "Siraj bowled very well, didn't he? It is great for him to come here and do that. I thought he bowled an outstanding spell with the new ball. His lines were tight, and the lengths were good. He threatened the stumps a lot," Flower said. Despite letting Siraj go, Flower expressed confidence in RCB’s current squad. "We all rate Siraj very highly, and we love him. I think we had a good auction. I wish him all the success in the world. We are happy with the squad that we have got," he added. RCB opted to strengthen their pace attack by acquiring Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Rasikh Dhar instead of retaining Siraj. As they prepare for their upcoming match against the Mumbai Indians, RCB will look to bounce back and put this defeat behind them.
