The young batter of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nitish Kumar Reddy, is hoping that the Sunrisers pull off the magnificent comeback that RCB has done in IPL 2024. SRH broke the jinx against CSK in Chennai by winning their match for the first time at MA Chidambaram Stadium, winning five wickets-the first-ever win against CSK. Against nine matches played so far, they could muster just three wins and are still in the contest to remain in the playoff race. This recent occurrence led all CSK and SRH coaches to testify about the 2024 resurrection of RCB, indicating that a struggling side can rise from the ashes such as SRH did on Friday in its large win. A revival that characterized the 2024 season saw RCB convert dismal beginnings to a playoff bid, winning seven matches in a row. Reddy said: “It is much important for us, it is a do-or-die for us. Last year the same situation RCB came up and won 7 in a row. Why not us this year.” With their most recent victory, SRH was still able to sustain their hopes of a place in the playoffs. Chasing a target of 155, Kamindu Mendis and Nitish Kumar Reddy added a crucial half-century for the sixth wicket, after a steady 44 from Ishan Kishan anchored the innings. Watch: Kavya Maran’s animated reaction to dropped catch in CSK vs SRH goes viral Earlier, CSK had been restricted to just 154 runs thanks to Harshal Patel's brilliant spell of 4/28. Dewald Brevis provided a spark with his knock of 42 off 25 balls before Kamindu Mendis caught him with a brilliant catch. Ayush Mhatre began with a splendid half dozen of 19 deliveries to score 30, but thereafter CSK could not maintain the pressure, with most of their batting faltering and the game slipping away. CSK made one change with Dewald Brevis returning for Rachin Ravindra. Unfortunately, the changes didn't have the desired effect as CSK's campaign plummeted once again. Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first.
