Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined 30% of his match fee for showing anger after an umpire’s decision in a TNPL match on Sunday, June 8. The game was between Dindigul Dragons and Tiruppur Tamizhans at the Sri Ramakrishna College Ground in Coimbatore. An official of TNPL told CricBuzz: "There was a hearing conducted by the match referee after the game. Ashwin was fined 10 per cent for showing dissent towards the umpires and 20 per cent for misuse of equipment. He accepted the sanctions." However, the Ashwin could not be immediately reached for comment. Ashwin, who was leading Dindigul Dragons, was given out lbw to R. Sai Kishore while trying to play a sweep shot. The ball looked like it had pitched outside the leg stump. However, there were no reviews left, as the team had already used both for wide-ball calls. Umpire Kritika made the decision, and Arjun Kripal Singh was the match referee.
