Speaking to the media there, he addressed the topic of India-Pakistan cricket ties. He stated that any decision on bilateral series would be guided by the Indian government and reiterated BCCI’s policy of hosting matches in either country’s home venue rather than neutral grounds. He said, "As far as bilateral cricket relations between India and Pakistan are concerned, the decision is in the hands of the government. Whatever the Government of India tells us, we will follow that. Moreover, it is the policy of the BCCI-and I believe it would be the same for the PCB as well-that any bilateral series should take place on either country's soil. It should not be played at a neutral venue; this has been a consistent policy of the BCCI.” Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the upcoming Asia Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the UAE in September 2025. The tournament will be played in the T20 format. With Shukla stepping into this crucial position, Indian cricket continues to hold a strong presence in global and continental cricket administration.
