Rajasthan Royals had appointed Vikram Rathour as their batting coach for the forthcoming season of Indian Premier League 2025. He would work under Rahul Dravid who has been appointed as the head coach recently. It has come after Rathour completed his stint as the batting coach of the Indian men's team, he finished his job in June. He has been linked with Dravid as being part of the Indian team for this duration between 2021 and 2024. few months ago, the duo helped India to lift its first major trophy after 11 years when they emerged victorious at the T20 World Cup earlier this year. Winning the title came with it a decision where Dravid himself did not reapply for the head coach position of the national team after the achievement. Dravid is more than elated to have Rathour on board with Royals and has appreciated him on his overall game skills and cool-headed approach. They will work with Kumar Sangakkara who is the Director of Cricket for Rajasthan Royals. Sangakkara had been the coach of this team in the IPL 2023 season. Dravid said: "Having worked closely with Vikram for many years, I can confidently say that his technical expertise, calm demeanor, and deep understanding of Indian conditions make him a perfect fit for the Royals. Together, we've built a strong rapport, guiding India to key successes, and I'm thrilled to reunite with him. Vikram Rathour played six Test matches and seven One Day Internationals for India between 1996 and 1997. He is thrilled to help make a difference for Royals after his success with the Indian team.
