Ahead of the Rajasthan Royals' next IPL 2025 game against Lucknow Super Giants, head coach Rahul Dravid denied rumors of rift in the team. During the pre-match press conference, Dravid stated that the rumors were unfounded and there were no issues in the camp. Rajasthan Royals are struggling this season. Out of the 7 games they've played so far, they've won just 2 and are placed at the lower rungs of the points table. Their next match is crucial, but there is also uncertainty over captain Sanju Samson's fitness level. In their previous match against Delhi Capitals, the game went into a Super Over as both teams had scored 188 runs. Rajasthan lost that match, and most fans on social media indicated that Sanju Samson seemed off. They indicated that he didn't participate in the team huddle and didn't appear interested in speaking to Rahul Dravid. Samson injured his rib during batting and was forced to retire hurt having scored 31 runs from 19 deliveries. He joined Rajasthan Royals this year after finishing his coaching tenure with the Indian national squad and winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. He became the head coach succeeding Kumar Sangakkara. Under Dravid, Rajasthan Royals retained young players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Dhruv Jurel. However, these players have not performed well till now. During the Super Over against Delhi, Rajasthan sent Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag to bat, despite having available Jaiswal and in-form Nitish Rana. Delhi captain Axar Patel stated after the match that he was surprised with this choice. Rajasthan could only post 11 runs for 2 wickets in the Super Over. Delhi chased the target in only 4 balls. Now Rajasthan would be hoping to bounce back in their next match, but their team decision and form still remain a concern.
