Mitchell Santner believes New Zealand's earlier encounter with India in Dubai provided a confidence boost ahead of the Champions Trophy final. New Zealand will face India on March 9 in the Dubai International Stadium, with both teams aiming for the title. Although India won the previous match, New Zealand’s bowlers managed to unsettle India’s top order. Talking about the final in Dubai, Santner said that winning the toss would be nice. “Being there in Dubai and putting India under pressure gave us confidence. You take in what things work and what doesn’t. I think the bowlers bowled well to chip wickets at the top. I think winning the toss will be nice as well,” he said. Both teams have been in top form throughout the tournament. India remains unbeaten, while New Zealand’s sole defeat came against India on March 2, when they lost by 44 runs in Dubai. 'Excited for the final': Kane Williamson New Zealand batter Kane Williamson spoke ahead of the final and said that he is looking forward to playing India again. He also added that his team don't focus more on India's schedule, where they played all their matches in Dubai. “It is what it is (India playing in Dubai). Our focus is the next match, the location of that match, the opposition, they're all factors. Obviously, we played India there once. The conditions are different, so it's important that we try and take away some of those positives and be nice and clear in how we're trying to operate,” Williamson said. The Champions Trophy has seen impressive performances from both sides. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra is the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, just one run behind England’s Ben Duckett (227 runs). India’s Virat Kohli is in fourth place with 217 runs.
