In a recent proceeding, it has been known that the Mumbai youngster Prithvi Shaw has officially requested a No Objection Certificate from the Mumbai Cricket Association. As per a report from India Today, the Mumbai prodigy is looking to shift his base in domestic cricket. An MCA source told the India Today, "Yes, he has written to us for an NOC. We will discuss and decide." Notably, Shaw underwent many yeses and nos for Mumbai, but mainly due to his fitness and indiscipline. Earlier he was dropped from the Ranji squad but later came back in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy ut got dropped again in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Frustrated, Shaw took his Instagram and had posted, "Tell me God, what more do I have to see.. if 65 innings, 3399 runs at an average of 55.7 with a strike rate of 126, I'm not good enough but I will keep my faith in you and hopefully people believe in me still cause I will come back for sure.. Om Sai Ram." Replying to Prithvi's outburst, an MCA official said, "His fitness, discipline, and attitude are lacking, and we cannot have different rules for different players. The ball would pass near him, and he would barely make an effort to reach it. Even while batting, he struggled to reach the ball." Shaw reportedly missed training sessions and checked in late to his hotels. Senior players, even Shreyas Iyer, the one who led Mumbai in SMAT told that Shaw needs to be disciplined.
