Prabhsimran Singh maintained his formidable style throughout IPL 2025 with another powerful performance in Dharamsala on Thursday. Singh opened the innings and took Mitchell Starc and the rest of the Delhi Capitals bowling attack to task, scoring freely throughout the ground in the clash involving PBKS vs DC. The 24-year-old registered his fourth straight fifty of the season, sending a strong message to the Indian selectors. Prabhsimran did not hold back against the bowlers of Delhi, providing another strong innings while opening the batting pair with Priyansh Arya. The pair provided Punjab Kings with a flying start, contributing a massive milestone of 122 runs in only the 10 overs. They sent bowlers including Starc and Kuldeep Yadav to all corners of the ground. Their aggressive, fearless approach gave PBKS total control early in the match. Also, by hitting his fourth consecutive half-century, he also made history by being the first uncapped Indian player to do so. Prior to the DC match, Prabhsimran scored 83, 54, and 91 in his 3 innings prior, all of which were match-winning knocks. While Team India for T20I already has plenty of talent, Prabhsimran is making a good case for a call-up with a strong showing in IPL 2025. He is currently in sixth position in the Orange Cap with 487 runs from 12 games. He also has an average of 44.27 and strike rate of 170.87 which points to the aggressive T20 style of cricket that India now likes to play. Among batters who have scored 450+ runs in IPL 2025, he also has the highest strike rate.
