Mumbai Indians' batting coach Kieron Pollard recently reflected on his early prediction about Rohit Sharma's form in IPL 2025, after the Indian opener returned to his best with back-to-back fifties. Rohit's form became a topic of discussion after he struggled to make an impact in the earlier matches. During an earlier post-match press conference in the tournament, Pollard had reassured everyone that MI was not concerned about Rohit's form, expressing confidence that it was only a matter of time before the opener regained his rhythm. He also mentioned that once Rohit found his form, everyone would be singing his praises. "If my memory serves me right again, the start of this competition, that question was different, and I said, sitting right here, we are also going to be singing his praises, and for us we always had that belief that he's going to come good and I just want to continue to urge you guys at times to give guys the opportunity." Pollard further explained that players like Rohit, who have been around the game for a long time, often face dips in form, but they always manage to bounce back with the right support. "There are dips, there's little confidence, but for someone who has played the sport for a long time, you have these moments and sometimes you just need that extra support from people." 'Other batters have also contributed': Pollard While the focus on Rohit’s return to form is understandable, Pollard was quick to emphasise that Mumbai's recent batting resurgence isn’t solely about Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav. The coach highlighted that other players in the squad had stepped up, contributing to the team's four-match winning streak. "We're all very happy in the Mumbai dressing room. We're happy at the start as well, knowing that it's going to happen and long may it continue so that the headlines are going to be about that." Pollard also stressed that the team's success was not reliant on individual performances but on the collective effort from all batters. "But you know, for us in our entire batting unit we look for guys to perform at different junctures in the tournament. So now, guys are stepping up. Other guys haven't got an opportunity, and it's sort of working well, so we're very happy. So we're not going to individualise it and just speak about Rohit and Suryakumar, the other batters who have contributed as well to winning and the manner in which we are in the tournament at this present time," said Pollard.
