Mohammad Shami's ex-wife, Hasin Jahan, launched another attack on the Indian fast bowler, claiming that he is funding education for his mistress' children while ignoring his own. Jahan recently posted a photo of their daughter Arya, announcing that she successfully got herself admitted to an international school. Hasin Jahan accused Arya's biological father, that is, Shami, of neglecting her education funds. She even claimed that Shami does lavish expenditure on his mistress' needs. In the Insta post she writes, "Enemies wanted that my daughter should not get admission in a good school. But Allah made everyone's face black, and my daughter got admitted to a very good international school. Thank you, Alhamdulillah. Her father tried hard to make sure my daughter's schooling was not good, but a father is not God." She added, "The daughter whose father is a billionaire was having her life played with only because of ego and arrogance, while he teaches his own children in big schools. Some mistresses worth lakhs in business and first-class flights, but for his daughter's education, he wasn't willing to spend money. Thanks to Allah that there is law in this country; otherwise, we don't know what would have happened to us." Justice Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee’s order specifies ₹1.5 lakh for Jahan’s maintenance and ₹2.5 lakh for their daughter’s upbringing. This revision comes after a 2018 order set the amount at ₹1.3 lakh per month. Jahan had earlier sought ₹10 lakh, citing Shami’s earnings, which reportedly touched ₹7.19 crore annually in 2021. The court called the revised amount “just and reasonable,” also allowing Shami to contribute more for his daughter’s future needs.
