The Pakistan Cricket Team has reportedly launched an official protest against India for refusing to shake hands with the Pakistani players after the 2025 Asia Cup match on September 14 at the Dubai International Stadium. Pakistan was crushed by India by 7 wickets with an all-round display. Earlier there were reports that the Indian team might have a soft protest against the players. And match referee Andy Pycroft was informed about it during the toss. It is noted that Pycroft informed Agha to not approach Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for any kind of handshakes. Later during the match presentation, there was no sign of Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha. Later, after the match, the Indian players coldly walked away without the customary handshake ritual. The ignored Pak board, as per a report of PTI, has officially decided to protest against India. Notably, a official statement from Pakistan said, "The match referee Andy Pycroft had asked captain Salman Ali Agha, at the time of the toss, not to shake hands with his Indian counterpart. The Pakistan team management has lodged a protest, calling the behaviour against the spirit of sports." It added, "Salman Ali Agha skipped the post-match presentation in protest against the behaviour of the Indian team, as the ceremony host was also an Indian."
