The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied all claims of agreeing to a hybrid model for hosting the Champions Trophy 2025. The hybrid model that stated India would play at neutral venues has been denied by PCB. Pakistan is in charge of hosting the Champions Trophy scheduled in the February-March window. The board, however, is in no distress if India is willing to participate in the tournament. Despite numerous media reports circulating claiming Pakistan has agreed to host India at neutral venues, a PCB source has clarified to India Today that the board is in no mood to do so. Pakistan, as sorted earlier, is all set to host the entire tournament in three venues: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. PCB clarified this when ICC was supposed to announce the Champions Trophy schedule. Not only that, certain reports claimed that the schedule may get confirmed prior to the venues fixation. The PCB source is clear with the statement, saying, "The hybrid model is not under consideration. It is documented that its position has not changed. People file stories claiming sources X Y Z. People file anything just to get some views. As of now, we haven't decided anything as far as the Champions Trophy. Our stand is as it is." India silent about participation Despite the chaos, BCCI hasn't clarified their stand regarding participation. Though different sources claimed that, there are possibilities of denial from India's side, but BCCI is yet to sit for a meeting with the Indian Government regarding this. Even though Pakistan toured India after a lot of tension, during the 2023 ODI World Cup, it was in 2012-13 when India last visited their neighbor for a bilateral series. In 2008, India took part in the Asian Games but denied to do so in the recently hosted 2023 Asia Cup. Ideally, the tournament was co-hosted by Sri Lanka, which had organized all the matches for India. Sadly, Pakistan got the opportunity to host just 4 matches of the entire tournament.
