The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken the decision to withdraw No Objection Certificates for players who are going to feature in overseas T20 leagues after the defeat in Asia Cup final. The board took the decision after Salman Ali Agha and co. suffered a 5-wicket defeat against India in the Asia Cup final, their third successive loss to the arch-rivals. According to reports, seven Pakistan cricketers, including snubbed Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, were originally scheduled to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) this year. According to ESPNCricinfo, the NOCs provided to players for playing in foreign T20 leagues and tournaments have been suspended. According to the report, there's no reason behind the move currently. Among the seven players who received NOCs from the PCB are Azam, Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi. Three of the players will go under the hammer during the ILT20 auction to be conducted on September 30. The notice was issued by PCB CEO Sumair Ahmad Syed. Though Azam has been contracted by Sydney Sixers, Rizwan will play for Melbourne Renegades.The event starts on December 14 and will continue up to January 25, concluding just before Australia Day. In addition to Rizwan and Afridi, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan (Sydney Thunder) and Hasan Ali (Adelaide Strikers) were also drafted, bringing the total number of Pakistani players on board this season to seven, which would be a huge BBL record and a big boost to the competition's global appeal.
