Both teams exceeded the 200+ total and in total more than 440 runs were scored during the full high-scoring contest. SRH posted an enormous 219/6 in their twenty overs with destructive batting from Abhishek Sharma who hammered 74 in just 28 balls, while Travis Head was another big-hitter with 38. In response, the Punjab Kings produced courageous batting as they chased down the total in 18.5 overs, ending on 223/4. Sluggish End After Explosive Start for SRH The Sunrisers Hyderabad started off very brightly with Abhishek Sharma being the pick of the bunch as he reached 74 at a strike-rate greater than 260, smashing five fours and eight huge sixes. Travis Head chipped in with 38 runs and Heinrich Klaasen batted steadily with 39. Skipper Ishan Kishan also got the score moving with a knock of 27 but failed to provide a finishing blow. The score, which once seemed going past 250, was restricted to 219 after sluggish finish by the middle and lower middle order of Hyderabad. Priyansh Arya was hitting from ball one and smashed a fiery 57 off 20 deliveries with the powerplay all done and dusted. He was matched by Prabhsimran Singh with his 51 off 25 deliveries. It was Shreyas Iyer (POTM) that played the winning hand with an incredible 69 off just 33 deliveries. The chase was kept under control with both calmness and power. Support came in from Shashank Singh as he chipped in with quick 16*. PBKS comfortably completed the chase in 18.5 overs with one of the most dominant displays of batting seen in the history of the IPL.
