Punjab Kings batter Shashank Singh is a person who is very fitness-conscious. As far as fitness is concerned, the hard-hitting right-handed batter looks up to former India skipper Virat Kohli. The latter physically and mentally transformed himself during the early days of his career by losing several kilos after putting in place a rigorous training plan coupled with a strict diet plan. During the process of getting leaner, Kohli also got fitter and agile. At the age of 36, Kohli still remains among the finest fielders in world cricket. He enjoys testing himself, standing in the thick of action while fielding, and always waiting for balls to be hit his way. Shashank, 33, revealed how Kohli toils day and night like a machine in an exclusive interview with CricTracker. He enjoys pushing himself by fielding in busy areas, always staying alert and expecting the ball to come his way Here is what Shashank said: "If we talk about work ethic, Virat bhai is someone I have seen and heard about from a lot of friends who are playing in India. When I ask them, his work ethic, his practice schedule, his training schedule, his mindset, I think that is what keeps him ahead," "He is like a machine. He works like a machine. He works day and night. I think that is what drives him," the 33-year-old added.
