Australia Test Captain Pat Cummins has revealed his all-time India versus Australia ODI squad. Virat Kohli who has had a great time in Australia, however, is a significant miss in Cummins' squad. Notably, it was Cummins' choice to not include any playing players, and to consider only retired players. This, players like Travis Head, or even Rohit Sharma, also missed his squad. His squad widely included players from the 1999 to 2007 phase. Led by Ricky Ponting, the squad has just three Indians. On the opening slot, he kept David Warner along with the great Sachin Tendulkar, believing both "could dominate any bowling attack in their eras." For Cummins, the 2011 ODI World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni is his "ultimate finisher and leader." #PatCummins crafts his all-time AUS vs IND XI, handpicking the finest stars from past! 🤩Share your ultimate playing XI in the comments using today’s stars! ⚡🏏#AUSvIND | 1st ODI | SUN, 19th OCT, 8 AM, on Star Sports Network & JioHotstar! pic.twitter.com/3KVZ7Ygtd7 — Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) October 15, 2025 Pat Cummins’ all-time India-Australia ODI XI David Warner, Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting (captain), Shane Watson, Michael Bevan, Steve Smith, MS Dhoni (wk), Shane Warne, Zaheer Khan, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee. Speaking to JioHotstar, Cummins said, “Virat and Rohit have been part of almost every Indian side for the last 15 years, so this might be the last chance for the Australian public to see them playing out here. They've obviously been champions of the game for India and are always very well supported. Whenever we play them, the crowd gets loud." The fast bowler expressed disappointment at missing the series, noting the excitement among fans and the electric atmosphere these two cricket icons always create on the field.
