Retired batter of Chennai Super Kings, Ambati Rayudu blamed the spinners of LSG for losing the match against the Capitals. Rishabh Pant's captaincy debut for a new franchising started narrowly not getting run out by Delhi Capitals. In analyzing the match, Rayudu wasted no time in pointing out the fact that LSG's downfall wasn't due to Pant's leadership. According to Rayudu in his statement to ESPNcricinfo, Pant attempted to put up a show similar to that of MS Dhoni on that particular pitch against the DC. However, he went on to claim that LSG's spinners failed to come up to the expectations and thus cost them the game. The erstwhile CSK star accentuated that it was not the decisions taken by Pant but the bowling unit that led to defeat. Rayudu Stated: “I think he (Pant) was trying to do what Dhoni used to do, on wickets like that. Especially bowling spinners in the end. And his spinners actually let him down, to be very honest. I don’t think it is the captaincy, I think it is the bowling execution that has let him and LSG down,” View this post on Instagram A post shared by ESPNcricinfo (@espncricinfo) Chasing 210, the first over saw DC go down the drain when Shardul Thakur sent down Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel.
