The tentative schedule for Pakistan’s upcoming home ODI series against the Australia national cricket team has just been announced, and it looks like all the matches will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, according to sources. The three-match series is set to kick off on May 31, with additional games on June 2 and June 4, although the Pakistan Cricket Board will confirm the official dates soon. This series is particularly important as it marks Australia’s first ODI tour of Pakistan since 2022, when Pakistan pulled off a memorable 2–1 victory. Historically, Australia has had the upper hand in their ODI encounters, leading the head-to-head record 71–36 over 111 matches, with four games ending without a result. After their time in Pakistan, Australia will head to Bangladesh for a white-ball series in June 2026, which will break a 15-year hiatus in bilateral ODI series between the two nations. Following that, the tour will move to Chattogram for three T20Is set for June 17, 19, and 21 at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium. Meanwhile, Pakistan is gearing up for their red-ball tour of Bangladesh as part of the ICC World Test Championship. They will compete in a two-match Test series, with the first match taking place in Dhaka from May 8 to 12, and the second in Sylhet from May 16 to 20. Shan Masood will captain the team, and four uncapped players like Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori have been named in the squad. This will be Pakistan’s first Test assignment since their 1–1 draw against the South Africa national cricket team last year. Later in 2026, Pakistan is also set to face England, Sri Lanka, and West Indies in Test series.
