The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee is set to drop their one of the best in-form batsmen, Fakhar Zaman, for the upcoming white-ball series tour to Australia which is scheduled to be played in November. Fakhar Zaman has found himself in hot water after receiving a show-cause notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for publicly supporting his teammate and white-ball captain, Babar Azam. Babar's unexpected omission from the Test series against England sparked Fakhar’s criticism of the board’s decision, which did not sit well with PCB authorities. According to sources, this public dissent led to the notice being issued, and now Fakhar is reportedly being excluded from the upcoming tour of Australia. Adding to his troubles, Fakhar also failed to meet the fitness standard of completing a two-kilometer race in under eight minutes. He is currently dealing with knee issues. Although he is fit to play matches and has been participating in domestic cricket, placing additional strain on his knee could lead to a serious injury.” Pakistan, having no ODI matches scheduled after the conclusion of the 50-over World Cup, has yet to name a captain for their ODI side. However, recent reports suggest that veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is likely to take on the leadership role. Pakistan is scheduled to tour Australia in November for a series of three ODIs and three T20I matches. The ODI match of the white-ball series is scheduled to be played on November 4.
