The Indian jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has finally been unveiled, having the major limelight on the name "Pakistan" on the chest. However, as per ICC guidelines, it is mandatory for the teams' to wear jerseys with the host's name, and in this case, Pakistan is the host country. However, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia dismissed rumors, clarifying that India would follow the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) guidelines for the tournament. Pakistan, the host nation, will have their name beneath the Champions Trophy 2025 logo on India's jersey. Saikia emphasized that the BCCI has no intention of violating the ICC's rules, including those regarding the logo. He also stated that media claims were unfounded, reaffirming India's commitment to the official dress code. Notably during the Asia Cup, where even if Pakistan was the main host, but Sri Lanka was assigned as the co-host after India's denials, none of the countries wore either Pakistan's or Sri Lanka's name on the chest. Rohit Sharma was included in the ICC ODI team of the year, while Ravindra Jadeja made it to the Test team. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were named in the ICC T20I team of the year. Arshdeep also won the prestigious T20I Cricketer of the Year award after a stellar 2024, finishing as joint-highest wicket-taker at the T20 World Cup with 17 wickets, and 36 wickets in a total of 18 matches played in the year.
