The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday, January 11, announced a 15-member Pakistan squad that will face the West Indies in the two-match Test series. Both the matches will be played in Multan as other venues are still under construction ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025. Shan Masood will lead the Test team in this series, while Saud Shakeel will be his deputy. Masood has struggled as a captain and has lost eight of the 10 matches he has captained. Masood needs to win this series if he wants to remain in the role. Seven changes have been made from Pakistan's previous Test series against South Africa. Imam-ul-Haq has been brought back in the side after he played his last Test in December 2023. The other top-order batter, Muhammad Hurraira, has earned his first call to the Test side. So, with this, Babar Azam and Shan Masood would be expected to drop down the order.
