India batter Mayank Agarwal played a masterful innings for Yorkshire against Durham in the last round of the current County Championship Division One at Headingley, Leeds. Agarwal played a resplendent 175 from 195 balls, scoring 20 fours and five sixes. This was the 19th century of his eventful first-class career. Strong Comeback After a Rough Start Agarwal struggled at the start of his first stint for a county, managing only two ducks and 26 in his opening three innings. He had previously agreed a three-match contract with Yorkshire this month. Debuting against Somerset in Taunton, Agarwal was dismissed for a golden duck in a drawn match. He was 26 off 87 in the first innings against Sussex and a three-ball duck in the second. But against Durham, Agarwal batted after Yorkshire lost opener Finlay Bean for 1 in the 7th over. With Adam Lyth, he contributed to a 127-run second-wicket partnership. Both of them got to their half-centuries before Lyth's dismissal on 69. Yorkshire then lost James Wharton (7) and captain Jonny Bairstow (0), but Agarwal pressed on, getting to three figures with a six.
