The Indian off-spinner Shreyanka Patil has been battling injuries for a long time and will now miss the India A tour in Australia. BCCI has announced the women's team for all three formats, and Shreyana Patil is notable miss in the squad. Apart from Patil, leg spinner Priya Mishra missed the tour owing to injuries. Notably, Shreyanka Patil has had a play-and-pause time in competitive cricket since the 2024 Asia Cup when she suffered from a finger injury. Even though she participated in the T20 World Cup in the UAE in October, she suffered from another injury in the 2025 Women Premier League. Well, both Shreyanka and Priya were in the initial plans of BCCI. Shreyanka was added in the T20 tour, and Priya was in the ODI and the four-day formats. However, as they failed to pass the fitness Test, BCCI had to move on. A BCCI statement said, "Both players remain under the care of the BCCI Medical Team at the Centre of Excellence and are currently undergoing their Return-to-Play protocols." Gujjar was previously named in the squads for the one-dayers and the four-day game, while Rawat had initially only made it to the T20 setup. Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia has also been called up for the one-day format. She was last seen in action for the Mumbai Indians during WPL 2025 and more recently featured in two warm-up matches against the ECB Development Women's XI. Radha Yadav will lead the side across formats, with Shafali Verma also part of all three squads. India’s all-format tour of Australia kicks off with the T20Is in Mackay, scheduled between August 7 and 10. The ODI series will follow on August 13, 15, and 17 at Norths.
