Therefore, RCB will not be able to host its home game in the next IPL season. This implies that RCB will be assigned a new home ground for IPL 2026, and the team will have to perform without the vital support of its home audience. According to Deccan Herald, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has been ruled out for conducting large events or high-energy cricket matches following the tragic stampede that occurred outside the stadium last June 4. The report established that up to 79 police officers were stationed within the stadium, yet none outside the stadium despite a huge collection of RCB supporters attending the parade. Additionally, no ambulances were present at the event. The Rajat Patidar-led RCB franchise won the IPL 2025 campaign when it edged fellow first-time title-contenders Punjab Kings in a frantic final match at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. But the excitement of the RCB faithful soon turned dark for the kin of 11 individuals who died the next day in Bengaluru.
