Nitish Reddy, one of the two debutants for India in the Perth Test of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, has stunned the Australian presenter Mark Howard in an interview with Fox Sports. Howard, who was unaware of a "young" Nitish Reddy, gallantly asked about his performance in his domestic cricket, citing that Indians have a knack of smacking hundreds and two hundred's in the age-group cricket. He asked if Reddy has done the same as a "young fellow," despite being an all-rounder. However, he got stunned, as Reddy informed him that his highest score is 442, which he got in an U-16 game against Nagaland. In the interview, Howard was seen saying, Reddy, "Its a great story, and it's great to hear. So we're here about young Indians making hundreds, 200s, and 300s. Obviously, you are an all-rounder. Are you one of those young guys that peeled off for a double century or 250 as a junior cricketer? What was your top score as a young fellow?" Reddy answered with utmost calmness, "442 is my highest score." Shocked Howard, laughed out of astonishment, and asked about the type of game to which Reddy answerd, "In Under-16 domestic level in quarterfinals. I scored against Nagaland, 442, that's my highest score. Its a test game." Pleased Howard shared the video on his X account as well.
