According to Times of India, Bumrah will undergo scans this week, with specialists set to update the BCCI selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar. Last month, Agarkar revealed that Bumrah was asked to “off-load for five weeks” post the Border-Gavaskar series and would miss the first two ODIs against England. If Bumrah isn’t fit, India will have to look for a suitable option for him in the final 15-man squad. Meanwhile, the Indian team has begun preparations with a short camp in Nagpur before the ODI series against England with Harshit Rana in place of Bumrah. The three-match series, played in Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad, will help Rohit Sharma test combinations before the team departs for Dubai on February 15.
