In a fresh development, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has revealed their squad for the upcoming home Test series against England which is scheduled to start from November 28. The New Zealand team under the leadership of Tom Latham registered their historic 3-0 Test series victory in India for the first time. They not only broke the dominant streak of 12 continuous years of the Indian team but also shattered their confidence. On the other hand, England after winning the first Test match against Pakistan lost the other remaining two and lost the Test series as well. Both the teams will face off in Christchurch, Wellington, and Hamilton from November 28, December 6, and December 14 respectively for the first, second and third Test match. Ahead of the series, the New Zealand team have got some relief as their ace Test batter and former skipper Kane Williamson is set to return in this series after missing the Test series against India. Furthermore, Nathan Smith has also got his maiden call-up for this series. Mitchell Santner, who bowled brilliantly in the India series and helped the team to win that Test series will miss the first match but will be available for the remaining two matches. Uncapped Jacob Duffy who was included in the India series for the injured Ben Sears has got another chance for the England series as well. In a brilliant move by NZC, they have also removed the spin duo of Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi who were part of the squad against India, so that they can manage the pacers lineup well for the home conditions.
