(@CricCrazyJohns) September 27, 2025 Nepal's Fighting Batting Effort Asked to bat first, Nepal achieved 148/8 in 20 overs, with skipper Rohit Paudel taking the lead. Paudel made a solid 38 from 35 deliveries, while Kushal Malla (30 from 21) contributed crucial runs. The duo combined to form a 58-run third wicket partnership after an early hiccup left Nepal reeling at 12/2. Later innings from Gulsan Jha (22 off 16) and Dipendra Singh (17 off 19) took the total over the 140-run mark. West Indies bowlers Navin Bidaisee (3/29) and Jason Holder (4/20) put pressure with frequent breakthroughs, but Nepal's lower order made sure they crossed over to a fighting score. Nepal's bowling was tight from the beginning, as Kushal Bhurtel not only picked up with the ball (2/17) but also ran out opener Kyle Mayers (5) off a smart bit of fielding. The Caribbean side fought for traction with Amir Jangoo (19), Keacy Carty (16), and Ackeem Auguste (15) not being able to convert beginnings. Navin Bidaisee (22) attempted to stabilize the innings, but wickets continued to fall. Lower-order contributions from Fabian Allen (19 off 14) and skipper Akeal Hosein (18 off 9) proved insufficient as Nepal registered a historic 19-run victory. With this victory, Nepal went 1-0 up in the three-match series. The second T20I will be hosted on September 29 at the same ground, where Nepal will seek to win a historic series.
