Nepal has been officially confirmed as the first side to participate in the 2025 Top End T20 Series, with the event scheduled in Darwin between August 14 and 24. The tournament will prepare Nepal for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Three places are remaining in the World Cup, which will be staged in India and Sri Lanka early next year. Nepal's Tour Plans and Match Venues Nepal will reach Darwin in early August and will play a minimum of six T20 games. They will play these games at DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, and Cazaly's Arena. Paras Khadka, the Cricket Association of Nepal secretary said: "We are excited and looking forward to participating in the Top End T20 Series. It presents a valuable opportunity to prepare with strong intent and focused practice ahead of our ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers [to be held in Oman in October]. Nepal recently appointed former Australian batter Stuart Law as their head coach in March. They played a tri-series against the Netherlands and Scotland under his leadership in Glasgow, where they came second. Following Darwin, Nepal will head to Sharjah in late September to contest their first-ever bilateral T20I series against the West Indies. Gavin Dovey, the CEO of Northern Territory Cricket said: "We could not be more excited to welcome the Nepal national cricket team to the Northern Territory and Top End T20 Series for the first time. Nepal has developed a fanatical following in their home country and among the Nepali diaspora, so we are delighted that all Nepalese eyes will be on the Northern Territory as we play a role in their cricketing journey."
