England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has expressed hope that India qualify for the final of the Women's World Cup 2025, terming their ambience as "electric." In preparation for England's semi-final game against South Africa, Sciver-Brunt conceded she is looking forward to the high-pressure semi-final between Australia and India. England will clash with South Africa in the first semi-final on Wednesday at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. India and Australia face each other in the second semi-final on October 30 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Women's World Cup 2025 final will be contested on November 2, with England hoping to win their fourth title and first since 2017. At the pre-match press conference, Sciver-Brunt said: "It would be brilliant if India got to the final, just to feel that atmosphere. But first, we need to focus on our own game. Hopefully, we’ll be watching that India vs Australia match with great interest once we’re through." England commenced their campaign with a massive 10-wicket victory over South Africa, dismissing them for only 69 runs. England then embarked on an unbeaten five-match winning streak before suffering a loss at the hands of Australia. Sciver-Brunt said: “Yes, that first match was quite a game. We bowled really well and got off to a perfect start. But South Africa have grown a lot since then. They have played some really good matches, including close chases. So, tomorrow’s semi-final will be exciting." England placed second in the league phase with 11 points and a net run rate of +1.233 and won five of their seven matches. Their game against Pakistan at Colombo was rain-abandoned. With the semi-finals on the horizon, Sciver-Brunt's remarks point to just how much build-up there is to a possible India vs England final, one that would send fans across the globe into a tizzy.
