After trailing by 0-1 in the Test series, the Pakistan team made a remarkable comeback at their home to register their first Test series win since 2021. Pakistan suffered a massive setback in the first Test held at Multan Cricket Stadium and they made few changes in the squad for the remaining matches, ultimately changing the game for them. Former England captain Nasser Hussain claims Pakistan may have "discovered the kryptonite to Bazball" as England’s media criticizes Ben Stokes’ squad after their third-day collapse led to a series-deciding loss in Rawalpindi. Different pitches and selectors and they found the kryptonite to Bazball. They have spinners of the highest quality and they have players that play spin really well. It has exposed England when the ball does spin. When it spins and it's gripping, England don't play spin or bowl spin as good as Pakistan." Hussain further pointed out the discrepancies in the conditions, particularly noting the differences between flat and turning tracks and how these pitch variations impacted the game. Hussain further said: "There should be a discrepancy because the pitches have been so different from the first Test to the second and third. There's no doubt that scores should go down and spinners should go up. But, the discrepancy in the England side is a concern. It shouldn't be so drastic that you play so well on flat pitches, and you can hit through the line, but the moment it grips, you can't play like that and so then you're lost.” Since the Stokes-McCullum "Bazball" era began in 2022, this marks only their second series defeat. So far, they’ve achieved six series victories and drawn two.
