To date, the very first Test between Pakistan and England has seen a humongous amount of runs. Since the first session of the first day of the first Test in Multan, many cricket experts and commentators have come up with their opinion on the track, terming it as paradise for the batsmen. And as expected, it has transpired just the way it was touted as over 1500 runs have been scored across 12 sessions up until the end of Day 4 of the fixture. Despite Pakistan managing a total of 556, the match will be remembered for the staggering 454-run partnership which Joe Root (262) and Harry Brook (317) put up for the fourth wicket. Former England skipper Nasser Hussain was today part of the list of former cricketers who criticized the pitch. Appearing as a guest on the official broadcaster, Hussain suggested something laughable based on the batting-friendly turn the track had taken. "Test cricket cannot afford for this pitch to continue playing in the same way for all five days. It is incredibly flat and, for the future of the longer format, pitches need to do something. At the moment, it has done nothing for two days. No spin, no swing, no reverse-swing. It is too batter-friendly and Test cricket needs an even contest between bat and ball," Nasser wrote in his column in The Daily Mail. England has been dominating the host team very badly because the pitch in Multan is playing quite similar to the first day of the test match. There was nothing happening on the pitch for the bowlers, but for batters, it was a treat. In the ending half of the 4th day of the test match, the pitch was slightly better for the bowlers, and Englan’s bowlers took the advantage and put Pakistan in deep trouble. Now it is looking very impossible for the Pakistan team to win the match.
