The captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pat Cummins, was seen in a hilarious yet warm moment, as he was spotted picking up the cutout of Mitchell Marsh to his own team bus. Mitchell Marsh has been representing Lucknow Super Giants this season and has opened the batting for the franchise. However, beyond the limitations of the Indian Premier League, both are teammates in the Australian Men's Cricket Team, winning World Cups together. Pat carried Marsh's cutout to the bus, while his SRH teammates were left stranded. Replying to confusions, Pat indicated Marsh as "my man" and walked inside with a creepy smile. Jokes apart, Marsh has been in top form, scoring consistently for LSG, unless he suffered a dip in the middle. However, he recovered in the last match, and scored 65 runs off 39 runs, surviving a few misfields from his homie's team. Batting first, LSG posted a strong 205/7. Apart from Marsh, Nicholas Pooran added late fireworks with a 26-ball 45. Despite a middle-order collapse, the foundation laid by the top-order helped LSG post 2025, lossing 7 wickets. Eshan Malinga impressed with figures of 2/28, while Harshal Patel and Harsh Dubey picked up a wicket each. In reply, SRH came out all guns blazing. Abhishek Sharma tore into the LSG attack with a blistering 59 off just 20 balls, including 6 sixes. Ishan Kishan (35) and Heinrich Klaasen (47) kept the momentum going. Kamindu Mendis retired hurt after a fluent 32, but the damage was already done. SRH crossed the line in just 18.2 overs, finishing at 206/4. Digvesh Rathi was the pick of the LSG bowlers with 2/37, while Shardul Thakur claimed one. But SRH’s relentless batting onslaught proved too much, securing a dominant win with 10 balls to spare and reaffirming their reputation as a fearsome chasing side.
