A chapter closes for the Mumbai Indians Women’s team. Their head coach, Charlotte Edwards, has officially stepped down after guiding the side to two Women's Premier League (WPL) titles in just three seasons. She leaves behind a legacy built on grit, mentorship, and silverware. The timing couldn’t be more poetic — Edwards walks away just after helping Harmanpreet Kaur’s side lift their second WPL crown. Mumbai Indians confirmed her exit in an emotional farewell post, describing her as “a leader with endless admiration and respect.” The franchise hailed her for not only delivering trophies but also nurturing young talent. The MI spokesperson said, “Charlotte Edwards has been a leader for whom the entire #OneFamily has enormous admiration, appreciation and respect. The incredible achievements that Charlotte has driven the team towards, winning 2 titles in 3 years, developing and inspiring the girls to play their best cricket, taking the MI legacy forward, and bringing joy to the MI Paltan. We wish her all the very best and are grateful for everything she has brought to our team over the past 3 years."
