MS Dhoni is said to be gearing up for a final IPL season as he intends to play for IPL 2026 with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 44-year-old veteran, who has been the face of the franchise since day one, is keen to end his decorated career on a positive note. Dhoni’s decision comes shortly after N Srinivasan returned as chairman of Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited (CSKCL). According to a report by Revsportz, Dhoni has agreed to extend his IPL journey by another year, despite earlier speculation that fitness issues might keep him out of the upcoming season. Dhoni Aims for Sixth IPL Title with CSK The great wicket-keeper batter captained CSK in 2025 when the regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was out of the tournament with an injury in mid-season. The season proved to be a disaster for the men in yellow, though, and CSK ended at the very bottom of the table for the first time in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The poor finish is reported to have been enough to inspire Dhoni to make a final bid for the team's sixth IPL title in 2026.
