Indian pace star Mohammed Siraj has showcased his admiration for batting legend Virat Kohli by framing the latter’s last Test match jersey at his home in Hyderabad. Kohli had retired from Test cricket in May this year. His last Test match was played in Sydney during the fifth Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the match, both sides sported pink-themed jerseys to raise money for the McGrath Foundation's cancer awareness program. Interestingly, Siraj's jersey has been signed by the legendary batter himself in the frame. Siraj and Kohli share a good relationship from their time playing together at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where Kohli initially supported the young pacer. Following regular performances for the IPL, Siraj became one of India's most dependable fast bowlers across all formats. Siraj was India's hero recently when they achieved their historic six-run win over England in the fifth Test at The Oval. India were defending only 35 runs on the last day of the Test, and the pacer tore through England's lower order by claiming 5 wickets in the innings and 9 overall. His performance saw him receive the Player of the Match award and saw India tie up the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 2-2. Mohammed Siraj has been India's standout performer in Test cricket with his fiery and consistent bowling. He recently played an instrumental role in getting India to draw the Test series in England.
