Recently Rohit Sharma provided an update on Mohammed Shami’s injury and said that they don’t want to push him for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. But days after this update from the Indian captain, the Indian pacer was seen bowling with his full intensity at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Shami, who has been out from cricketing action for more than a year now, is eyeing his return for the Australia red-ball tour. Shami's prolonged absence from the team has largely been the result of multiple injuries, with the most significant being surgery on his Achilles tendon. His recovery was further set back by a scare during rehab, delaying his comeback even more.
