Pakistan and New Zealand are gearing up to face each other in a white-ball series consisting of five T20I matches followed by three ODI matches, the first T20I match is set to be played on 16th March. Earlier, the Pakistan team were facing a major issue as their current batting consultant Mohammad Yousuf refused to travel with the team for the New Zealand tour due to his daughter’s poor health conditions after obtaining permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to stay at home on March 11, Tuesday. But Yousuf has now reversed his decision and is set to travel with the team for the white-ball series. Yousuf accompanied the team and boarded the team flight along with playing for this tour. Yousuf said that his daughter is in better condition right now which has allowed him to travel with the team. As quoted by India Today, a PCB official said: “Yousuf has informed the board that his daughter is now in better health, so he is available to travel with the team to New Zealand.” Pakistan had a shameful and embarrassing group exit from the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025, their inconsistent form and poor batting display raised many questions from the experts and fans about their selection choices. Mohammad Rizwad led side failed to win a single match in the campaign. In the hope of revamping their batting form after this horrible campaign, PCB opted for Mohammad Yousuf as their batting consultant for their upcoming New Zealand white-ball series. The white-ball series consists of 5 T20I games which will be played from 16th March to 26th March followed by 3 ODI matches starting from 29th March to 2nd April.
