A spin bowler having a baseball-like throw is not as common as it is for the pacers. Pakistan's Usman Tariq is one such of a kind, whose action was even brought under scrutiny before but cleared the legal issues. However, the controversies rekindled in the second T20I between Pakistan and Australia at Lahore On January 31st, when he dismissed Cameron Green, Greek was visibly frustrated when he walked out and mocked Tariq's action, which led to him receiving trolls on the very next day. What added to the flavor was that Pakistan won the match by 90 runs. Chasing 199, Australia was bamboozled on 108 within 16 overs. And on the next day, Tariq, on his Instagram account, posted the meme video of the famous Russian boy named Ilya Andreevich crying for chocolate in a reality show. Was it directed to Cam Green? Well, Tariq's caption said, "After getting out..." Tariq had to report to Lahore National Cricket Academy (NCA). This happened twice, and in both cases, his action was found legal. His elbow extension remains within the 15-degree limit legalized by the ICC. In an interview with MYK Sports, Tariq earlier spoke about the vulnerability he has. “I do have two elbows in my arm. My arm bends naturally. I have got this tested and cleared. Everyone feels I bend my arms and all that. My bent arm is a biological issue." Well, it's not just Cam Green, but Tom Banton in 2025 ILT20 Qualifier accused Tariq of the action.
