England made it a match to remember by inflicting a first-innings and 47-run defeat on Pakistan in the first Test at Multan a few days back. Former England captain Michael Vaughan did not mince words when he said that this was the worst Pakistan side he had ever seen. Having been whitewashed by Bangladesh at home in a Test series last month, Pakistan needed to bounce back strong against the England. Home side went on to pile 556 but the visitors' 'Bazball' approach derailed Pakistan's hopes for redemption. Visitors declared for a massive 823/7 after batting for just 150 overs. Pakistan managed only 220 in their second innings and suffered another humiliating defeat. "This is the worst Pakistan side I can remember. But to make 823 for seven at 5.5 runs an over, while taking few risks and looking in total control, is very special. The most impressive thing for me was the way the bowling attack combined. You could tell what everyone's role was. And they stuck to their task gallantly and were right up for the challenge, which is exactly what Brendon McCullum wants to see," Vaughan wrote in his column for The Telegraph. England humiliated the Pakistan cricket team in the first test match of the series that took place in Multan. From, England Joe Root and Harry Brooks showed the batting brilliance as both had a huge partnership of 454 runs. Joe Root scored brilliant double century and Brook bagged triple century and helped England to win the match with just one inning and 47 runs. For Pakistan it is such a concern because they have just lost their ways on the field, their batting is looking juts out of clues and bowlers are also not looking effective.
