In the latest disappointment, young pacer Mayank Yadav has been ruled out for almost three months as he suffers from a recurrent back injury. Initially, it was reported that he was suffering from side strain, but reports later confirmed that it was indeed his back injury which resurfaced, and thus, he had to be sent out of the field. This injury has deprived him of the return train of domestic cricket and a chance to be a standby bowler in India's touring party for Border-Gavaskar Trophy, soon to be played in Australia. Injury Report on Mayank Yadav The Telegraph reports that initially, the BCCI was looking forward to Yadav being available for the fourth or fifth rounds of the Ranji Trophy. Those plans are now dropped owing to the back issue. The 22-year-old bowler was also an aspirant for the series against South Africa and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Yadav came to play T20I cricket against Bangladesh, and he picked up six wickets in three matches. His talent is apparently good, but BCCI has just confirmed that Yadav has been suffering with a recurrent injury, so he will miss some coming matches and probably for cricketing longer than was forecasted. As per the earlier prescription from the NCA (National Cricket Academy), he could play in the Ranji Trophy from its fourth or fifth round, but that’s no longer possible now. He’s again out for quite some time." Yadav's Personal Coach Remarks on His Recovery Personal coach Devendra Sharma said Yadav's medical advice is telling him to rest since management wants him to come back for three-match ODI series with England in February. Devendra Sharma said: “It’s not that Mayank has sustained a fresh injury, but he has been advised not to play now as they’re looking to have him back for the England ODIs." It was also a blow to Yadav, as well as to the team, since this considered a bright talent in the fast-bowling lineup for upcoming series in India.
