Karnataka’s domestic T20 league, Maharaja Trophy 2024 is going on, with a lot of players coming out and producing stunning performances. However, for Bengaluru Blasters' leader and Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal, things have not been that easy. In the Match 16 of the tournament against Mangalore Dragons, Mayank Agarwal fell for a golden duck for the second time in a row. Earlier, the right-handed batter suffered this fate against the Hubli Tigers. This time, he faced just the third ball of the innings, a fuller delivery from Abhilash Shetty that edged off his bat and was safely caught by the wicketkeeper. While Agarwal's form with the bat remained a concern, his team had done well, winning three out of four games before coming into the match against the Dragons. Significant contributions came in from the number six and seven positions through Suraj Ahuja with 38 off 25 balls and Kranthi Kumar, who was run out after making 39 off 28 balls. A respectable total of 144 in their 20 overs was reached despite problems faced by the Blasters initially. The Dragons, though, desperately need a win. Led by Shreyas Gopal, they have won just one of their four matches, with the last one being abandoned due to rain. They are positioned second-bottom in the points table at the moment.
