Wicketkeeper Uttam Thapa Magar and Abishek Tiwari contributed 29 runs each, but the rest of the batting lineup collapsed and no other player reached a double-digit mark. Mohammad Rijan Hossain spearheaded Bangladesh’s bowling attack with his partners Mohammad Al Fahad, and Mohammad Iqbal Hasan Emon, each taking two wickets. Saad Islam Razin, Rafi Uzman Rafi, and Azizul Hakimi Tamim chipped in with one wicket apiece. While chasing the 142-run target, Bangladesh's innings also saw some sudden collapse and lost their 5 wickets. Yogesh Khatri was the standout performer for Nepal, who took the 4 wickets but also got injured with a massive drama on the field. Yogesh Khatri came to bowl to the wicketkeeper-batter Farid Hasan Faysal from around the wickets and while attempting a scoop, the batsman got bowled out. Khatri was seen jumping and moving around while doing his celebration in South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi style where he picked up his one shoe and took it near to his ear and announced his arrival for the wickets. On the very next delivery, he bowled a fuller-length ball and hit straight on Rizan Hossan’s pad and he was given out immediately. Khatri was on a roll with the back-to-back wickets and halfway through his celebration of the second wicket, he somehow twisted his ankle and got injured. Later he was picked up by his teammates on their shoulders and was taken to the dressing room.
