A tragic incident occurred in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district when a cricket match was going on at Garware Cricket Stadium. Imran Sikandar Patel, a 40-year-old player from Lucky Builders, collapsed on the field and died of a heart attack. Imran was batting well with two boundaries in the sixth over, when he started to feel sick. Before the seventh over began, he removed his batting gears such as gloves and helmet and informed the umpire of his condition and umpires allowed him to leave the ground and head back to the dug out. However, he collapsed near the boundary line while he was heading off the field. Imran said: "My neck and hand are hurting. I will go outside and get a medicine pill." Heart Attack Leaves Teammates Stunned His wife, three daughters, mother, and siblings were depended on him. Imran's death has shocked his family and the local cricket community because of the batting talent with which he played. The cricketer, alongside owning a cricket team, also had a business of real-estate and a juice shop. As reported by NDTV, his fellow teammates and friends said that Imran was a fit cricketer and an active player. It was shocking to hear about this tragic incident. The all-arounder always played his heart out on the field which makes the incident of heart-attack even more shocking. One of his teammates, Naseer Khan, stated that it was absolutely unbelievable. He claimed that Imran was someone who always stayed in a great shape and there weren't any health issues for the player.
