Punjab Kings will take on Lucknow Super Giants in Match 68 of the IPL 2026. The fixture will be held on Saturday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST. PBKS are currently under a huge pressure following six defeats on the trot, but playoff hopes are still alive. A win would be crucial as they would be dependent on the results of matches to be held on Sunday in order to progress. The season has not gone well for the Punjab Kings after a decent start. Bowling and fielding have been below par. Both Arshdeep Singh and Lockie Ferguson have not produced outstanding performances so far. They will have to be economical going forward, with Yuzvendra Chahal too inconsistent, and with Marco Jansen axed for the last game. However, Azmatullah Omarzai and Shashank Singh have been the positives, with the latter scoring a half-century against GT. It remains a concern when their top order collapses under pressure, and it put an immediate test on Shreyas Iyer and the middle order. The season for Lucknow Super Giants has been very inconsistent. Both Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis have performed well. Nicholas Pooran seems to be finding his rhythm again. However, the middle-order has failed at crucial stages on more than one occasion. They lack the necessary bowling depth to challenge other teams. Rishabh Pant has faced much criticism both for his current form and captaincy. The Super Giants are already out of the playoff races but will want to finish the season on a high in front of their home crowd. Early bounce and lateral movement on a dry Ekana pitch may benefit the pacers, but the conditions may improve for batting in the latter stages of the game. At the toss, Punjab have won and chose to bowl first. Here's what the captains said at the toss: Rishabh Pant: "We would have bowled first as well. This wicket is good for cricket regardless of bowling or batting. This is one of the better batting wicket, it could be a high scoring match. Two changes - Arjun and Arshin Kulkarni are in. It's been a tough season, but at the same time, there has been a lot of learning, both for the team and personally. II'd say sorry for the fans, they have come from all over UP. It's been tough going for us, but we'll give our 100% today." Shreyas Iyer: "We're going to bowl first. We've got two changes, Marco (Jansen) and Vyshak (Vijaykumar) come in. It is suddenly exciting (on being in a do-or-die situation). It's like a do or die game for us. I would say rather do. So it's looking forward to the challenge. Never been in this situation before, as in the league table. But the boys are super excited. They're eagerly waiting to see how it turns out at the end of the day."
