The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 final will be staged at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on July 5, 2026. The confirmation came during a special launch event held at Lord’s on May 1. This is the first instance in history that a Women's T20 World Cup final shall be hosted at Lord's. The last time a major final for women was held at this venue in 2017 saw England defeat India in the 50-over World Cup, much to the joy of a full-house crowd. England will hold the Women's T20 tournament in 2026 while India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the Men's edition. Referring it as a “decisive moment” for the woman’s game, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said the passionate and mixed UK audience makes the country perfectly suited to be the host for such an expanded event.
