The iconic Lord's of London will host the very first women's Test in its history by hosting a Test between England Women and India Women next year. The confirmation came on Thursday, July 24, as the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) unveiled their schedule for the 2026 home summer. The lone Test between cricket giants is scheduled on July 10, 2026. The two nations will also play each other in three T20Is; Chelmsford on the 28th of May, Bristol on the 30th of May, and Taunton on June 2. The ECB’s Chief Executive also shared remarks following the announcement. The highlight of the summer will undoubtedly be the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, hosted here in England for the first time since 2009. The five 20-over games are scheduled in Durham (July 1), Manchester (July 4), Nottingham (July 7), Bristol (July 9), and Southampton (July 11). The three ODIs will begin in Birmingham on July 14, with the next games scheduled in Cardiff on July 16 and at Lord’s on July 19. “We're really excited to unveil what promises to be a spectacular summer of international cricket in 2026. With world-class opposition visiting iconic venues across the country, fans will have the chance to witness the very best of the men's and women's game,” the statement read further.
